Paving to begin soon! Central Alberta Raceways is currently looking for contractors to begin paving the 1/4 Mile Drag Strip.

the Gravel is Here! Ponoka County has delivered most of the gravel they donated for base work on the 1/4 Mile Drag Strip. Over the last few months they have been trucking the gravel in on the frost and stockpiling it. The first goal will be completing all the clay base work this spring. Watch for work bee dates to be posted . Thank You Ponoka County!

C.A.R. News: The Albers Family has donated $100,000.00 towards our 1/4 mile drag strip construction. Tim grew up in Rimbey and is married to Lisa. They have two boys 14 and 16. The Albers have been avid supporter's of the project and Tim has raced at every 100' shoot out to date. With this support, the committee has decided to push the drag strip forward and do the construction this year. With any luck at all we'll be drag racing in 2008!
